Elite Classics LLC has sponsored Robert Korzen since his racing career began. Robert has enjoyed racing his own vehicles (Porsche, BMW, Corvette, etc.) on Virginia tracks in the SCCA /NASA for many years. In 2010 he entered The Mustang Challenge after receiving his Grand-Am License. This put his rear wheeled drive, V-8 powered car on a playing field that showcased his driving ability. Robert showed the competition his amazing skills in the sun, rain, and even the snow in the American Iron Series. He earned five 2nd place finishes in 2012 and four 2nd place finishes in early 2013 with his #11 Ford Mustang. Robert drove his 2008 FR 500S again in 2013, but powered with a Coyote engine in the Trans Am Series that offered a new class TA3 that allows factory-built production racecars to participate in a professional championship. The Trans Am series dates back to 1966. The Trans Am series is the fastest growing, highest performance, and best value racing series in North America. A Trans Am Series race is 100 miles in length, and does not require a mandatory pit stop for fueling, tires or driver changes. Trans Am races are sprint style, driver versus driver, which makes for an exciting action packed race from start to finish. In 2013 Robert has earned 3 wins and his most memorable event was a 3rd place podium at Road Atlanta “American Road Race of Champions”.

Robert has raced in many events on the east coast, with podium finishes at Summit Point Raceway, Virginia International Raceway, and Road Atlanta. He is a hometown favorite at VIR and Summit Point race events. He also enjoyed the race in Salt Lake City at the Grand Am World Challenge Event. Robert has raced in the American Iron Series, NASA Mid-Atlantic Series, SCCA special Events, MARRS Events, and currently has repeat podium finishes in the SCCA Trans-Am Eastern Division.

Korzen is quoted “I am honored to be able to participate in a series as storied as Trans Am and am ready to race at the pro-level. "
